Amu advances to Afghanistan First Division Cricket Final with Imran Mir's brilliance.

Amu team won the first quota for the final match of the Afghanistan First Division Cricket National Competition with a powerful performance against Band Amir and secured its place at the top of the table and went to the final.

In this match, Band Amir team decided to field after winning the toss. Amu scored a total of 308 runs in the allotted 50 overs by losing 5 wickets and put the opponent under pressure.

The undisputed star of the match was Imran Mir, who scored 161 runs with a brilliant performance and played a decisive role in his team's victory. He achieved this score in 144 balls and recorded 11 fours and 8 sixes. Yousuf Shah scored 45 runs, Gulbadin Naib scored 34 not out and Faisal Khan Shinozadeh scored 24 runs.

Imran Mir’s performance was also impressive in terms of statistics; his 161 runs were the second highest individual score in the history of the Afghan First Division since 2017. The only higher score was held by Samiullah Shinwari who scored 192 not out in 2018.

Chasing a target of 309 runs, Band Amir failed to respond well to the Amu bowlers’ attack and eventually conceded defeat by scoring 215 runs for the loss of all wickets. Among the players in the team, Javed Ahmadzai scored 51 runs, Mohammad Akram scored 46 runs, Sohail Khan Zurmati scored 36 runs and Majid Alam scored 30 runs.

In the bowling department, Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi, Gulbadin Naib and Azhar-ul-Haq Navid each took two wickets and played an important role in stopping Band-e-Amir.

At the end of the match, Imran Mir was named the best player of the field for his stunning performance.

With this victory, Amu topped the table with 7 points from 6 matches and secured their qualification for the final. On the other hand, Band-e-Amir missed out on reaching the final with 5 points and a negative net average of 0.821.

In other competitions in the table, Bast is in second place with 6 points from 6 matches, while Spinghar is also in second place with the same number of points but one match less. Mes Aynak also maintains its chances of appearing in the final with 4 points from 5 matches.

Spinghar and Mes Aynak are scheduled to face each other in the last group stage match today, Tuesday; a crucial match that will determine the second team to qualify for the final of the Afghanistan First Division Cricket Competition.
