Taliban releases detained American citizen
The Taliban Foreign Ministry announced that an American citizen named Dennis Quill, who was detained for violating the laws of Afghanistan, has been released.

The statement said that the Taliban Supreme Court determined that the period of time Quill had been in detention was sufficient.

Accordingly, he was released and handed over to his family in Kabul.

The Taliban Foreign Minister met in Kabul today with former US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad, UAE Ambassador to Afghanistan Saif al-Kutbi, and a family member of the American citizen.
