Urgent; Taliban closes Shia public relations office and "Rah Farda" TV

Local sources say that Taliban forces in western Kabul have surrounded the public relations office of Shia elders and officials and arrested the person in charge of the office.

According to sources, Sayed Sufi Gardizi, the person in charge of the office, has been arrested and at the same time the office of the private "Rah Farda" TV station, which is located next to this office, has also been closed by the Taliban.

Sources add that "Rah Farda" had previously been closed by the Taliban, but had resumed its activities after receiving a new license.

The Taliban have not yet provided an official explanation for the arrest of the person in charge of the office and the closure of this media outlet.
