Allegations of sexual harassment and rape of women in a Taliban camp in eastern Afghanistan

Kabul Times News: Sources have claimed in a video tape that a number of women in a Taliban camp in eastern Afghanistan are being detained and harassed under various pretexts.

According to this claim, a Taliban member in this camp regularly arrests local women and mistreats and even rapes them.

The source claims that these women are sometimes detained at specific intervals and under various pretexts. However, Kabul Times News is unable to independently verify the location, identity of the individuals, and the veracity of the claims made in this tape.

This claim comes at a time when Taliban officials have not yet responded to the content of this tape and the allegations made in it.

If confirmed, such cases could be serious violations of the human rights and dignity of women and girls and require an independent investigation and accountability of the perpetrators.
