Local sources in Herat say that the young man was shot and killed moments ago in front of the gate of the provincial police headquarters.

According to reports from local sources in Herat, the incident occurred while the scene of the incident is located near one of the main security centers in Herat. So far, precise details about the identity of the attackers, the motive for the attack, and how it occurred have not been released.

Some local sources have claimed that the victim was the grandson of Sher Ahmad Alizai, known as Arbab Shiro

However, this claim has not been independently confirmed by official sources or other media outlets.

Local sources also say that the young man’s father was also murdered some time ago in a mysterious incident

Sher Ahmad Alizai, known as ‘Arbab Shiro’, was a well-known and influential local figure in Herat. His name has been mentioned in political, social, and judicial events in Herat over the past years.

One of his sons, Abdul Rahman Alizai Muradi, was a former member of the Herat Provincial Council. Abdul Rahman was shot dead in his home in 1403. Initially, his family said he committed suicide due to mental health problems and family disputes, but later ‘Arbab Shiro’ filed a complaint with the Taliban court about the circumstances of his son’s death and made allegations against his daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The case was later followed by another bloody incident in the Herat court.

According to news reports, during one of the court sessions, a person named Karim shot and killed Abdul Rahman Muradi’s daughter-in-law. Reports state that Arbab Shiro and Karim were arrested by the Taliban following the incident, although there are different accounts of their subsequent status.

Local reports also indicate that the name of Arbab Shiro’s family has been mentioned many times in political and security events in Herat in recent years. However, for many of the claims made on social media, independent and verifiable documentation is not available and cannot be published as definitive fact.

It is still unclear whether this incident is related to past incidents involving the Arbab Shiro family or is an independent incident.
