Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi's English Premier League career ends early

Glamour Cricket Club has announced that Afghanistan fast bowler Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi will leave the Vitality Blast tournament and return to Kabul at the request of the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

The club said in a statement on Thursday that Farooqi has been recalled for international duty and will be leaving Glamorgan after just two matches.

Glamorgan, while respecting the Afghanistan Cricket Board's decision, wishes the player well in his future international duties.

Farooqi has made a remarkable comeback in his short time at the club. He took four wickets in his debut match and dismissed six bowlers in two matches.

The left-hander was also the first Afghan cricketer to play for Glamorgan as an overseas player.

Despite his official announcement of his departure, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has not yet explained the specific reason for the recall. The decision was taken as Afghanistan prepares for upcoming international competitions, including matches against India.

Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi has become a key player for the Afghan national team in recent years, having successfully appeared in major international competitions and prestigious franchise leagues.

Glamorgan have not yet announced anything about recruiting a replacement for Farooqi.
