Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a telephone call with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq, while informing them about the current developments, considered this military aggression a gross violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and a clear crime against international peace and security, and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will use all its defense and military capabilities to defend the Iranian nation based on its inherent right to self-defense.
Referring to Iran's determination to continue its policy of good neighborliness and friendship with all countries in the region, and referring to the fundamental principle of international law prohibiting any participation in an act of aggression against another country, the Foreign Minister recalled the responsibility of all countries in the region to prevent the US and the Israeli regime from abusing their facilities and territory to carry out aggressive operations against Iran, and emphasized that the Iranian armed forces, in exercising their inherent right to defend our country in accordance with international law, consider the origin and source of the US and Israeli aggressive operations, as well as any action to counter Iran's defensive operations, as legitimate targets.
Araghchi emphasized: The war imposed by the US and Israel is not only against the Iranian nation but also against all countries in the region, and therefore it is up to all Muslim nations and governments in the region to fulfill their historical responsibility to confront Israel's sinister plan.
