Ali Hosseini Shokuri, a member of the Assembly of Experts, Iran, announced to the media the election of Mojtaba Khamenei as the new leader of the Islamic Republic, saying that the new leader was elected by an overwhelming majority of the experts' votes and that Khamenei's name will continue as the leader of the Islamic Republic.
