Taliban to restrict fiber optic internet in Kabul

Sources in internet companies say the Taliban are planning to restrict or cut off fiber optic Wi-Fi internet in residential areas of Kabul. According to officials from these companies, the ATRA administration has made this decision in a recent meeting on the orders of the new Taliban Minister of Communications.

Internet service providers have warned that the implementation of this decision, in addition to depriving citizens of the internet, will cause hundreds of people to lose their jobs and cause heavy financial losses.

The Taliban have not yet officially commented on this.
