High-ranking Uzbek delegation visits Balkh to expand trade cooperation

Balkh Province – A high-ranking government and private sector delegation from the Republic of Karakalpakstan of Uzbekistan visited Balkh Province.

The delegation, led by Amanbay Orinbayev, Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of Karakalpakstan, and accompanied by Mawlawi Shahabuddin Saqib, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Taliban of Afghanistan, has arrived in Balkh.

The main goal of this visit is to strengthen economic relations and develop trade cooperation between the two sides. According to the information provided, a business communication conference and joint meetings between members of the private sector of Karakalpakstan and businessmen of Balkh Province are scheduled to be held during this visit.

In addition, the opening of the exhibition of domestic products and productions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif is another important program of this delegation. This exhibition provides a good opportunity to introduce goods, establish trade relations and attract investment.

Officials have expressed hope that this visit can pave the way for expanding economic cooperation, increasing trade levels, and creating new opportunities for the private sector between the two countries.
