Afghan-American Allies in Pakistan: “Don’t Forget Us”

Kabul Times News | 2026-05-15
Report:

A number of Afghan allies of the United States, whose P1 and P2 immigration cases have been completed, gathered in Pakistan today to make their voices heard by American officials and the international community.

These people say that they have completed all stages of their cases, including interviews, medical examinations, biometrics and security checks, and have only been waiting for a flight date; but their transfer process has been suspended since January 20, 2025.

According to these Afghan allies, the process of arresting and deporting Afghans in Pakistan has increased in recent months, and even some people who had security letters from the US Embassy have been arrested and deported.

They say that many families have been returned to Afghanistan and the fate of others is unknown.

These individuals warn that if they are forced to return to Afghanistan, they will face serious security threats and risk to their lives because of their cooperation and support for the United States.

Participants in the gathering called on the US government to uphold its commitments to Afghan allies and resume their transition.
