6 killed, 6 injured in traffic accident in Badakhshan

The Badakhshan provincial police command says that two people were killed and four others were injured in a traffic accident in the Raghistan district of the province.

Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesman for the Badakhshan police command, said that the incident occurred at around 9:00 this morning, Wednesday, when a passenger vehicle lost control on the Alashido road and overturned.

According to him, the injured in the accident have been transferred to a health center for treatment and the health condition of some of them is reported to be serious.

The main cause of the incident has not yet been determined, but residents of the area consider the damaged roads, high speed and disregard for traffic rules to be the main factors in such accidents.

In recent months, traffic accidents in Badakhshan and a number of other provinces have increased, most of which are due to the carelessness of drivers and the poor condition of the roads.
