Suspicious Death of 18-Year-Old Girl in Ghor; Suicide or Murder?

Local sources in Ghor report the suspicious death of an 18-year-old girl named Farzana in Pasaband district; an incident that was initially declared a suicide, but initial evidence suggests the possibility of murder.

According to sources, she had been a victim of domestic violence many times during a year of marriage and had taken refuge in her father's house several times. A day after returning to her husband's house, the husband's family claimed that she had hanged herself.

However, initial investigations show severe signs of violence on her body and it is likely that she was murdered before staging the scene.

Following this incident, her husband and several members of his family have been arrested. She has been arrested by Taliban members.
