Bloody Family Incident in Vienna; Afghan Man Injures Wife and Two Children.

VIENNA, Austria – A woman and her two children were injured in a violent family incident in the Austrian capital.

Police said the incident took place in the Donaustadt district of Vienna early Saturday morning. In the incident, a 46-year-old man attacked his wife with a knife, seriously injuring her. The woman was reportedly stabbed multiple times and was bleeding profusely.

During the attack, the family’s two young children, who tried to stop the violence, were also attacked by their father. As a result, the 26-year-old girl was injured in the hand and the 23-year-old boy in the leg.

However, the children managed to restrain their father until police arrived. Police arrested the attacker after arriving at the scene. According to authorities, he confessed to carrying out the attack during an initial investigation, but his motive is still unknown.

The injured woman was taken to hospital and after the efforts of doctors, her condition was stabilized and she was saved from danger of death. Two children are also receiving medical care.

The family members are said to be originally from Afghanistan, but are now Austrian citizens.

Judicial authorities have announced that the accused has been transferred to a detention center and restrictions have been imposed on him, including a ban on carrying weapons.
