Marathon-style running race held among 200 athletes in Kabul

The General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports, the National Environmental Protection Agency and the Public Relations Office (T.L.O) organized a running race and tree planting campaign among 200 athletes under the title (Marathon Race and Tree Planting Campaign) in order to promote the culture of environmental protection.

The race was held from Ghazi Stadium to Tappe Maranjan, where tree planting was also carried out by officials and athletes on Tappe Maranjan.

At the opening ceremony of this race and campaign, Maulvi Saaduddin Saeed, Deputy Director of Finance and Administration of the National Environmental Protection Agency, appreciated the recent achievements of the National Sports Agency and its efforts in educating the country's youth, adding that the main goal of our program is to create a sense of the importance of a healthy environment and sports among the people.

Abdul Rahim Khorram, Deputy Head of the Urban Development and Renovation Organization (T.L.O.), also spoke about his activities in various fields and the value and importance of such competitions and campaigns.

At the end, saplings were planted by athletes and officials on the Maranjan Hill.
